Welcome To Indian Journal of Animal Health
The Indian Journal of Animal Health is a peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to research and clinical trials in veterinary, fishery, and dairy sciences. First published in 1962 from Calcutta, West Bengal, under the visionary leadership of late Dr. Anupam Chatterjee –a pioneer and leading thinker in Animal Husbandry Development in West Bengal–the journal has served as a trusted platform for scientific advancement for over six decades.
Over the years, the journal has been enriched by the contributions of eminent academicians and researchers, including the late Dr. D. B. Mukherjee, Dr. M. S. Das, Dr. A. N. Chakraborty, and Dr. P. K. Sinha, who have served on its Editorial Board at various times.
Aims and Scope
The journal seeks to:
- Publish high-quality research from diverse institutions and universities, and disseminate the latest developments in Veterinary Science, Fishery Science, and Dairy Technology to the professionals, practitioners, researchers, and end users.
- Present innovative clinical trials and field-based issues relating to veterinary and fishery sciences.
- Promote the advancement of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Fishery Sciences, and Dairy Technology, with special emphasis on their links to public health and agriculture.
Following Dr. Chatterjee’s dedicated stewardship, the management of the journal was handed over to the West Bengal Veterinary Association (the state affiliate of the Indian Veterinary Association) in 1987. Since then, it has been publishing under their care, guided by an apex Advisory Board and Editorial Board of distinguished scientists, faculties and research professionals in veterinary, fishery, dairy and allied sciences.
The journal continues to uphold its founding vision – bridging scientific innovation with practical application for the progress of all branches of animal sciences, including veterinary, fishery, dairy and allied disciplines.
